Fun Friday Thicker Than Water The Detectives Christmas Special

I knew it. So funny. So many jokes and a great name for the suspect. Also it is good police work. I don’t blame them. Why don’t they just spend it together. Also I didn’t believe him for 1 second. It is so nice to see, I love it. I love the maths. That is a lot but not a lot of money though. I love what he wants for Christmas, it is not a lot to ask. I love the brilliant present, perfect. A fun take on a very relevant piece of police equipment. Family, wow what a turn up. He knows him so well. I do hate his attitude. They are company for each other after all. I knew it. We can’t forget they are policemen. A funny choice of words. Oh, what a surprise. It is Christmas. However, a bad choice of present. Season of goodwill it seems. Thank you for reading Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday The Detectorists Christmas Special 2022

Warning Spoilers I can see that it is important to 1. Use the correct language and 2. Get the proper permission, so all above board and legal. I like it. Oh well, the go to, when fundraising is required, out comes the ‘Naked Calendar’ suggestion. In a fun way the ‘Calendar Girls’ Director Nigel Cole, film has a lot to answer to. It is amusing to hear. If you want to take up metal detecting as a hobby you can learn an awful lot from this program. This is a very realistic script. I love it, although I thought they were a team. I don’t like that he is hiding something.  I have mixed feelings, yes, it is exciting, yes, I think he is being selfish, but yes, I understand he maybe wants to be noted alone for finding something big. Oh wow, I love the ‘Prayer’ so fitting. Oh no, it does show that trying to, what I can only describe as, cheat the system doesn’t work. Oh, I see the or a possible twist that was mentioned in a previous promotional interview.  The cup, the cup, the c...

Fun Friday The Lost Colony Lovejoy Christmas Special

I can see what they found and why, but I feel as though the images are a bit to clear. Now there’s a thought or 2 from Lovejoy (Ian McShane). Oh, I love a good poltergeist/ghost story. Well she doesn't like them just ‘Doing their job’. Oh not him I don’t like Charlie (Malcolm Tierney). I hope he was joking. No one could be that ignorant about geography or accents. Well, she’s back. There are 2 of them, oh her. I would answer ‘No’ but apparently it should be a yes. It is nice to hear about all the history. This is a fascinating episode. I would say he is not to sell. This episode is getting better. She sounds spoiled. I don’t like her attitude. They are really milking the American accent. What is he up to? Oh, he’s made contact. I love this episode. Well I did, that wasn’t nice. So, it looks like he is going away on ‘Family business’ then. Well that all makes sense now. And yes, I also agree, get out, he is in ‘Shot’ so get out of the shot. What does he want? And that was too easy...

Wildcard Wednesday The Prague Sun Lovejoy Christmas Special

That is one determined to be somewhere taxi fare. I love the flashbacks. And it is Christmas and a favour to ask. Well done her. But of course those she likes, such is life. They meet again. That is a lot of people. Sad to hear they are both lost. What a lovely promise but I fear not. Thank goodness. Amusing but he didn’t mean war enemies. Oh, the favour. I had forgotten about that, yes, they can all help. Yes, what to do? ‘Wow’ indeed. I never knew Prague was within 3 miles, oh wait. It is nice to see them there. ‘No photos’ Eric (Chris Jury). I am glad to see he is having a good time, even though he doesn’t know the time of day. Please stop the ‘No mister’ ‘Catchpole’ it doesn’t suit. They are not in the UK, so stop. This reminds me of the term ‘Two birds with one stone’ but now ahh ‘60 quid’ it  is so sweet. I wondered where he was. I must admit I thought Eric would have had that job. Great amusing timing with the TV after what was said. And Lady Jane (Phyllis Logan) shou...

Fun Friday Montezuma's Revenge Lovejoy

Well that was worth waking up for, however, much of a fun dream he was having. Whether you believe in curses or not? Eric (Chris Jury) certainly doesn’t need any more bad luck. This puts me on edge. I may or may not be superstitious but I didn’t write the script, where they can make anything happen. It looks like Tinker (Dudley Sutton) is having a good time. This is so sweetly amusing to see. Well that isn’t good for her. I feel for Lady Jane (Phyllis Logan). The classic mind playing tricks on you is spooky. However, Eric could have have had a good reason to be scared, times 2. This is a good episode. It is strange that when they hit a dead end they mention random names in just a fill in conversation and things are back on track it seems. A handy sofa but still ouch. Now what? Poor Eric. It sure is ‘Amazing’ Well Tinker had a good time although it was inevitable, it is still amusing to see. I am glad ‘Paris’ was explained. It is brilliant how they are all in sync with one another...

Wildcard Wednesday Bin Diving Lovejoy

Well this is exactly what it says in the title. And poor Eric (Chris Jury). I like seeing the other side of ‘Stocking wearing’ this is amusing to see. ‘Highway robbery’ a modern take on Dick Turpin. I like it. No. no don’t do that to a lovely painting. I don’t like that Lovejoy (Ian McShane) isn’t having a very good day. Poor her. I don’t like that she got attacked. I love the room service, very attentive and plentiful. Now, I like that he is sparing Lady Jane (Phyllis Logan) but surely he could tell the police. She has even said he basically could have, in that she would go to them herself and explain. I can’t believe 2 things about this episode. 1. He is a chef, kind of and 2. That the bin men can get the upper hand with the police. Oh my, they clearly don’t know who they are talking about. I hate it. 1. Don’t leave Eric on his own and 2. Although it may have paid off, what a strong mechanism. I don’t like that the police weren’t satisfied. All I would say is that it is a trick...

Fun Friday The Italian Venus Lovejoy

Warning Spoilers I really think that is a ‘No’. That does look lovely. ‘Killjoy’ Amusing but an awful couple. I agree ‘Beautiful’ There is something to say about a modest life and a good nice woman. This is becoming intriguing. Oh no. I don’t like how he described ‘Mother’s Angina’. I love how Lovejoy (Ian McShane) helps him. I don’t think it is a ‘Foul’ plan. Although I don’t condone scams. I can see this one is being done for a fair reason. It is good to see that all safety considerations have been taken into account. Two, this is so funny to see. Thank you for reading Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Just Desserts Lovejoy

Yes, it is amusing to hear and no, not quite the turn of phrase she should have used. However, fitting it was and it was funny to hear. It is sad he will miss those afternoons.  Oh, no, I hope justice is served in the right way. Yes, good to see. I like how they tell the story in flashbacks and breaking the fourth wall. It is amusing to see as well. I hate that people can do all the checks, all the right things and still get caught out. A life lesson, never wave at an auction. An amusing risk. Typically, no tenants and then 2 come along at once, always the way. Some quick thinking I like it. 2 things. 1. Be grateful for wheels and 2. Please don’t kick a man when he is down. It is nice to see that he doesn’t hold grudges and believes he was innocent, as he was the one who could have lost something ‘Fragile’ I love the car and the name, it is sweet. Oh of course she is Oh what a twist. No, as we see all she didn’t tell him. I knew it, of course. Very clever. Thank you for read...

Fun Friday Death And Venice Part Two Lovejoy

‘Plan B’ over, that was quick. Adopt Lovejoy (Ian McShane) that is so amusing to hear. He didn’t know. Someone else is behind it all then. This is intriguing. Something isn’t right. I knew it. Oh no, what is happening? Strange, but the scenes set in the dungeons remind me of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with Dick Van Dyke. where the men went to work for the king/boss and ended up staying there. If Lovejoy doesn’t know then there is no hope for the rest of us. I knew it, one of the oldest tricks in the book. I love that Lovejoy has found some friendly allies. I’m so glad he is in. This is complicated, but all I know is that it is some kind of scam. What a twist, sadly, although I am glad he was able to help them and what a nice surprise.    And there is no fooling her, is there? Thank you for reading  Sandra
