Fun Friday Double Edged Sword Lovejoy

Warning spoilers Some people just can’t wait just for ‘Lovejoy’s’ (Ian McShane) help. Whoever crossed him is in trouble. Why doesn’t he explain it properly to Charlotte (Caroline Langrishe)? What ‘Fun’ is he hoping to spoil? He is up to something, they both are. ‘Dinner’ he delivered what he said. I love it. I wouldn’t have let the sword out of my sight, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. What a brilliant idea. There is a link somewhere, with what he said, he liked it like. Why doesn’t he just go and give it back? One link solved. So heartwarming all round. Thank you for reading  Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday somewhere- over the rainbow? Lovejoy

Warning spoilers Oh, no, what is wrong? Poor Tinker (Dudley Sutton) I like that she is sticking up for him. Despite the wrong of where he is, this is a heart warming episode. I agree, what does he know? And yes, he should know something and yes, definitely ‘Sad’. despite being sad parts do still make me smile. Oh dear ‘Missing to’. Now Tinker looks great however, it seems not helpful when it comes to describing him. I didn’t like the ‘Circus’ comments. Ooh spooky. ‘Worry’ don’t believe them and that does sound just like Lovejoy (Ian McShane)  Now ‘Excuse me’ that was funny. Yes, ‘Apologise’ is nice to hear. It is lovely that this episode is bringing Tinker and Lovejoy closer together.  It reminds me of the TV program The Hotel Inspector with Alex Polizzi but Tinker with Lovejoy’s help is playing the part of Alex. I can actually see the ‘Face’. ‘Welcome back Tink’ yes, girls road trip. All for a ‘Key’. I love that we are hearing about Tinker’s past. I don’t like him ‘The...

Fun Friday Day Of Reckoning Lovejoy

‘Happy Birthday’ so much money. Easy come, easy go.  Yes, Tinker (Dudley Sutton) why? A ‘Poetic’ episode it seems. Oh, that is perfect. I love what they did for Beth. Oh, no.  Well worked out all round. I am glad that it was convenient to hand in that book cabinet. That was and is wicked. I am glad he got out. Lovejoy (Ian McShane) is very clever and it would have been nice to see how. Yes, ‘Clever’ I would say both and all of you are. Oh no. I hate what happened. Thank goodness for the ‘Mess’. Thank you for reading  Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Fair Exchange Lovejoy

Warning spoilers ‘Gong’ through the 4th wall, but sadly annoying, ‘It won’t fit’. I hate it when people don’t sign things that they are meant to.  Oh Beth (Diane Parish) he would. What a sad story. I can see why the secrecy. Sometimes you just want to own/keep a nice antique. Why argue? It only causes more problems and there are too many of them already. Poor Lovejoy (Ian McShane) is sad it is all getting too much for him, and that is all he needs on top of everything else. Oh no. Oh no, now what? Oh, very clever. I know what happened but ah, no one else can know. It is really sweet of her to try, but so wrong of her to do that. Now if he knew Lovejoy, he/they would know he wouldn’t do something like that, of course, she doesn’t comply. This is so sadly annoying. I just want to scream at the TV ‘He is innocent’. I hate him. There is so much more to ‘Think’ Good point Beth. Poor Tinker (Dudley Sutton) but a lovely good cause. That can be accounted for and an easy deception bu...

Fun Friday The Price Of Fish Lovejoy

Why do they always say ‘Small house’? What a question to ask a dinner guest. Why do people jump to the wrong conclusions without finding out the truth? So many questions in this episode. I love the ‘Fish’ story. I hate Charlie (Malcolm Tierney). If he didn’t want to get involved in the running of the estate, why did he buy it? Oh good, some good news. Oh, no, I forgot Lovejoy (Ian McShane). Correct me if i’m wrong, but wasn't Tinker (Dudley Sutton) in a monastery, so why is a health retreat so bad? I love the love story. Surely that information would be confidential? Oh, Tinker. Oh, now that is a twist. What is he up to? Favour people? Intriguing. Very clever. What a ‘Lovely’ episode and shall we say an if not X Rated cosy ending an exposed one all the same. So many question marks. Thank you for reading Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Lanzarote by Michel Houellebecq

I don’t like his thoughts whilst deciding on a destination.  Chapter 2 tells of a mix of ideas I wouldn’t normally think of putting together. This is interesting so far. Now in 2024 I wouldn’t say Lanzarote has a limited range of activities on offer.  I don’t like some of his descriptions although some are true , not all of them. I don’t like all the negativity in this book however, it is still a good read to bring on a Lanzerote holiday. I like the history written into this book. The descriptions are thoroughly written and this story gets straight to the point. I love it. First of all, ‘Poor Rudi’. I don’t agree with what he is going to do but each to their own. Again it is really well written.  Be aware that this book covers some hard hitting terrible criminal acts. It turns dark very quickly. This is an incredibly unusual book to read. I was hoping for more information but as they say ‘Always leave them wanting more’. If you would like to visit Lanzarote there a...

Fun Friday Never Judge A Book By It's Cover Lovejoy

I feel this episode is only if he agrees. So cute but amusing. Two very different dinners. I don’t like that it is or looks like it is awkward for Tinker (Dudley Sutton). I also don’t like that he has overlooked his sisters. Something is amiss, he has done something. Lovejoy (Ian McShane) is up to something. Oh yes, that of course. And he will, he will ‘Promise’ sadly, I can see why and her dad’s point. But it is yes, ‘Helping’. I agree with Beth (Diane Parish) going to Cavendish. A sad tale, I feel for him. Poor Beth. Oh no, yes, what are they going to do? Listen to Tinker. Oh Beth, you haven’t. She hasn’t, she is young. I'm confused. Good for Beth. Trust him to spoil the plan that had worked. Thank you for reading Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Swings and Roundabouts Lovejoy

Sneaky but amusing to see. What a ‘Pension’. Love the dodgems scenes. The mirrors are amusing to see as well. I can see thar yes, in a big house you wouldn’t hear anything. Sometimes it is the simple things that are ‘Romantic’. I like it. The ‘Fair’ event. It doesn't look good. A good story and something is amiss. This is intriguing. Oh, that then, good one. You know what they say ‘All the fun of the fair’ and this is no exemption. Well landed. Yes, ‘Great’ all round. Thank you for reading Sandra
