Wildcard Wednesday The Ring Lovejoy

 A sad start to this episode. I can see why they worry, but he isn’t exactly a child. Ok, he is fine.

Well staged.


Oh dear and oh dear, drunk. This is amusing watching the rambling. Money talks yet again. Doesn’t say much though sadly, in this case.


Well acted Lovejoy (Ian McShane) 


Well Eric (Chris Jury) was right, he isn’t a ‘Debt collector’. Whatever just happened, it is, I feel, inappropriate all round.


This is like the film The Blues Brothers, where Elwood (Dan Aykroyd) and Jake (John Belushi) wanted to put the ‘Band back together’.


I feel sorry for him but ‘Karma’ i’d say.


This is amusing as Lovejoy did say ‘Workout amongst yourselves when you drop out’ he wasn’t expecting one to drop out before the auction had even started.


Not Lady Jane (Phyllis Logan), Tinker (Dudley Sutton) is quite correct, not happy. And now Jane, wow, I have never heard her so angry, well aimed.


After that profit, can’t blame him to want to try again.

  I thought the same. So, where is she? If Lovejoy (Ian McShane) says ‘He will get one’ I suppose he will. I suppose, I would say, it depends on what you paid for a painting a nice ‘Fake’ at a fake price is fine, but if you pay a genuine price tag, then you could be out of pocket/at a loss. Fun Friday Love Knots Lovejoy

  It is nice to hear about the history of a collectible antique as we very rarely get to know where or why things are as they are. I really feel for Jane (Phyllis Logan) and it is sad that Alex (Pavel Douglas) is saying all the wrong things. Also I agree he should be around more for her to ask. That was good timing. I do feel for Jane it is horrible to watch. Just as Tinker (Dudley Sutton) was talking about travelling in his dreams . i thought of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where Grandpa Potts (Lionel Jeffries) did most of his travelling through daydreaming and all of sudden Tinker spots a character in the auction room called Potts (Tony Caunter). This is a completely surprising coincidence. Now we hear Tinker talk about the interesting messages left and things are getting heated in the auction room. Fun Friday Eric Of Arabia Lovejoy

  It is an eye opener and quite true, can something be classed as original when parts have been replaced due to wear and tear?. This part reminded me of the TV program Only Fools And Horses with David Jason. Where the character Trigger (Roger Lloyd Pack) was going to get an award for having the same broom whilst working. This would have been fine if he hadn’t revealed that the broom had had so many new heads and so many new handles. Lovejoy’s (Ian McShane) take on this is not quite so amusing but works for the episode. This bike business is now getting amusingly action packed and cringingly dubbed. What a find.
