Fun Friday Dark Echoes of the Past by Ramon Diaz Eterovic translated by Patrick Blaine - Easter Island holiday

As I start to review this book, whilst sitting at Santiago airport Chile on the way to Easter Island  on holiday. It is interesting to read that the main character in this book also reviews books, although from what I read he doesn’t enjoy them as much as I am this one. It is already a slow paced but fascinating story. An intriguing case to take on. It is nice he has at least work to do so quick after nothing. I love this book. It is thoroughly written. I don’t want to put this book down now, but be aware that due to the nature of this book there are written paragraphs with types of ‘Torture’ mentioned and described in them. Be prepared to read a lot about Chile’s past. It is mostly all bad. I do love that a voice has been given to the cat, although sometimes it can get confusing that it is the cat. I still find it fun and amusing to read these parts despite some of the subjects being discussed. I don’t like that there has been another tragedy. I don’t like the quick blunt q...

Wildcard Wednesday Island Of The Cyborgs 21 Marvel advent calendar 2022

Not your usual holiday in a holiday destination. Another cliche, all seems lost situation/senario. Very clever. The poor ‘Monkeys’. This story is all sorted out a bit quick and then it’s over. Thank you for reading  Sandra

Fun Friday Vibranium Conundrum 20 Marvel advent calendar 2022

Warning spoilers Good to be home.  I like it , despite the ‘Trouble’. I like that the ‘Sheep’ are safe. So a simple boar, no super villain.  This book was just to show off some new technology. A bit of a let down in some ways. Thank you for reading  Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Dark Webs 19 Marvel advent calendar 2022

I thought ‘Dark web’ meant the bad side of the internet. I like how they have used it for the title of this book. Surely people would see them on the ‘Roof’? Oh they are in their suits, so that is ok then. It does seem silly to try and reason with a villain, just fight him away. However, the Avengers plus extras are the good guys so, I would say, would want to avoid a fight if they could. Yes, listen to people and ‘Work smart’.  I love it. Thank you for reading Sandra

Fun Friday Escape From Planet Nightmare 18 Marvel advent calendar 2022

A ‘Nightmare’ in more ways than one. Well that was a twist. I like it, it is interesting and intriguing. I like the idea to ‘Catch them off guard’. I am glad that after a nightmare they became friends. Thank you for reading  Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Spider-men 17 Marvel advent calendar 2022

I would like to read about them as well. Yes. So, be careful where you go on a ‘School trip’ and what you see may not be as it seems.  This is interesting.  I like how he described ‘Spiderman’. Ooo painful. I agree, animals first then villains. Thank you for reading Sandra

Fun Friday Time Warp Teamwork 16 Marvel advent calendar 2022

I love this title.  Tony has too much time on his hands and , it seems, too much money. A ‘Time machine’ I feel, this is a bit cliche. It seems they all have too much time on their hands.  So much, too much time travelling in this book. It is all so fast. The perils of time travel a ‘Time loop’ Thank goodness about the ending in more ways than one. Thank you for reading Sandra

Wildcard Wednesday Klaw's Revenge 15 Marvel advent calendar 2022

Warning spoilers ‘Revenge’ is a powerful tool. This story is a bit quick and doesn’t fully explain what is going on. I feel this story could have more written into it. There is no mention of the ‘Sphere’ until they used it. It seems to have come out of nowhere. Oh a surprise. Well, he is still a good king to his people. Thank you for reading Sandra

Fun Friday A Very Strange Night 14 Marvel advent calendar 2022

I suppose people/heroes do have their off days and more. This is not nice to read though. That was quick. I am all for helping but that was a bit rushed. This brings a whole new meaning to a nightmare villain.  ‘Tea’ is very British. I like it and it is amusing. Sleep tight. Thank you for reading Sanda
