Wildcard Wednesday Only Connect

 I love this lighthearted quiz show. It is so nice to see teams of the general public taking part. 


The idea for this quiz is a really clever one, where the contestants have to make connections with the clues they are given.


My only 2 criticisms would be that the selection of question topics could be easier, as, myself included, I am not overly familiar with the symbols that are used.


Also it would be nice if the words on the clues are read out by the host Victoria Coren Mitchell.


I do however like that the teams do have 2 chances of winning an episode.


A great quiz to play along with.

  I thought the same. So, where is she? If Lovejoy (Ian McShane) says ‘He will get one’ I suppose he will. I suppose, I would say, it depends on what you paid for a painting a nice ‘Fake’ at a fake price is fine, but if you pay a genuine price tag, then you could be out of pocket/at a loss. Fun Friday Love Knots Lovejoy

  It is nice to hear about the history of a collectible antique as we very rarely get to know where or why things are as they are. I really feel for Jane (Phyllis Logan) and it is sad that Alex (Pavel Douglas) is saying all the wrong things. Also I agree he should be around more for her to ask. That was good timing. I do feel for Jane it is horrible to watch. Just as Tinker (Dudley Sutton) was talking about travelling in his dreams . i thought of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where Grandpa Potts (Lionel Jeffries) did most of his travelling through daydreaming and all of sudden Tinker spots a character in the auction room called Potts (Tony Caunter). This is a completely surprising coincidence. Now we hear Tinker talk about the interesting messages left and things are getting heated in the auction room.
