Wildcard Wednesday Barbie
The start is sadly, truthful, to then turn lighter to then quickly turn even darker. It does very seriously explain how Barbie came to be though.
The message in this film for all children is a good strong one. Barbie could be anything so little girls could be the same.
This film reminds me of a cross between Toy Story with Tom Hanks and Enchanted with Amy Adams. with toys/dolls coming to life and a fantasy world character travelling to the real world.
I like how this film captures mostly all types of child’s play, even sadly including the ‘Weird’ way.
The sound track and choreography is brilliant throughout this film. Despite it being a film about dolls it was done in a very grown up way.
The speech about women is perfect and yes, somewhat truthfully realistic. Although things are changing now in the real world.
There are some very funny parts in this film. One even breaking the, what is known as the, ‘4th wall’. Which brings me to the narration throughout this film which is brilliantly scripted and done.
The ending is not what I was expecting but is amusingly honest in the life of being a woman.
I loved this film
Thank you for reading
