Wildcard Wednesday Pointless

 This is a clever game show as the reverse of Family Fortunes, where the contestants have to find the most popular answers on the board. Pointless is where the contestants have to find the most ‘Obscure’ answer where none of the 100 mentioned anything from a category.


It has changed a bit as before the contestants had just 2 appearances/chances to get through to the final, now they have 3. This is good because if some get knocked out in the first round there are more chances to go further through the game to come.


Also another change I like is that if a ‘Pointless answer' is found £250 is added to the jackpot, as some games may not have had this happen, a new round has been put in for more chances of a pointless answer.


I also like that in the final round there are 4 and not the original 3 categories to choose from for the final round topic. All the contestants have to do is get a pointless answer to win the jackpot that does keep growing if a few don’t win it. It is harder than it looks.

  I thought the same. So, where is she? If Lovejoy (Ian McShane) says ‘He will get one’ I suppose he will. Fun Friday Love Knots Lovejoy

  It is nice to hear about the history of a collectible antique as we very rarely get to know where or why things are as they are. I really feel for Jane (Phyllis Logan) and it is sad that Alex (Pavel Douglas) is saying all the wrong things. Also I agree he should be around more for her to ask. That was good timing. I do feel for Jane it is horrible to watch. Just as Tinker (Dudley Sutton) was talking about travelling in his dreams . i thought of the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang where Grandpa Potts (Lionel Jeffries) did most of his travelling through daydreaming and all of sudden Tinker spots a character in the auction room called Potts (Tony Caunter). This is a completely surprising coincidence. Now we hear Tinker talk about the interesting messages left and things are getting heated in the auction room. Fun Friday Eric Of Arabia Lovejoy

  It is an eye opener and quite true, can something be classed as original when parts have been replaced due to wear and tear?. This part reminded me of the TV program Only Fools And Horses with David Jason. Where the character Trigger (Roger Lloyd Pack) was going to get an award for having the same broom whilst working. This would have been fine if he hadn’t revealed that the broom had had so many new heads and so many new handles. Lovejoy’s (Ian McShane) take on this is not quite so amusing but works for the episode. This bike business is now getting amusingly action packed and cringingly dubbed. What a find.
