Wildcard Wednesday The Case of the Drowned Pearl by Robin Stevens
This book has a strong start but I don’t like how it is written in not following the rules of not contaminating a crime scene or removing/tampering with evidence, to name a few things that are wrong.
They should have stood clear and alerted the authorities. This doesn’t give out a good lesson of what to do in these circumstances.
Although this book could have been researched a bit better it is overall well written and somewhat clever for the younger reader it is aimed at, apart from what I have mentioned above.
This does make me intrigued as to who did it in this simply written story. Well that was an unexpectedly clever ending. The clues are there.
This is an easy book to read despite the double standards of the collecting of evidence that didn’t need to be there in the end, or if it did it was convenient and made to fit. That was still wrong overall though.
I did actually like this book in the end.
Thank you for reading
Sandra
