I love the start of the book already, although this is a sale/transaction and not an inheritance, this book/story reminds me of the BBC program ‘Ghosts’ with Charlotte Richie. The person selling the house is intriguing and, to me, isn’t quite as it seems. This book is becoming even more intriguing and is a very quick story/read.
It is annoying, and I question ‘Why didn’t Riana go back and search for her bag in the ditch?’ just after writing that she did go back. I do realise two things one, should it have been obvious and I should have known that she would and two, should it have been mentioned sooner when she realised what had happened to her bag? This book is already an interesting read.
I know this is a fictional story, but I love the idea of ‘Ghost weekends’ and wouldn’t mind going on one at the house myself. I myself am intrigued and love haunted places and without going into too much information about ghost investigations , I would go in as a sceptic and as of the nature of this book and having been on other productive/successful real life ghost investigations elsewhere would probably leave this house knowing the house was definitely haunted.
It is a fast paced story when it comes to what is happening with Tom. As I was reading I thought that was quick and it is all happening so fast. Also even this story part is intriguing as well. I feel there is more to him than he lets on. Also I would buy one of Riana’s paintings as well. I really love this book, it is, to me, a ghost investigators dream book/read.
This is, to me, an extremely fast paced book. You have to really focus on things as you could easily not get the full extent of what has happened especially the part with Rhiana on the stairs to the part through to just after the ‘Party’.
This book despite being busy is an easy read, there is so much going on. Some of it is a bit cliche where a stone statue falls from the roof to the ground. I have seen this scenario in many films or TV programs. Sadly, as well Rosie’s situation is not uncommon either, but I am intrigued as to how that will be resolved.
I like how the ‘Art show’ was a success. I like what Riana is doing to earn money and also that she is a strong natured woman. I love reading about capable women also. This is brilliant.
After believing one thing what happens is a tragedy and I feel too quick. Although things do happen fast I feel that it was too easy. I have also read about solutions like the one in this book in other books. It does, I now realise, solves a problem simply and so the author doesn’t have to write a complicated story line. It is still a sad shock though. Well that was a twist.
Well that was a sudden strange turn of events. I have to question, like all in and at the house including the police what is happening? I do hope both are ok though. I do like how Riana stood up to the police officer.
This book is getting not just mysterious but really strange as well and I would agree with Riana that they weren’t who they implied to be. I love a good mystery and this book is on a whole new higher level for me.
Although I do strangely trust Beatrice, you have to read this book to see why I wrote ‘Strangely’. I do have to question the legal issue that has arisen. It is also clever that there is an interwoven story about ‘Plans’. All I can say is I hope everything works out ok in the end. I haven’t and still don’t want to put this book down.
This book is tragic and getting strange, as I am getting near the end of the book I have no idea and agree with Riana ‘I don’t understand anything’ either of what is going on. Wandering how it will all be sorted out is intriguing and certainly keeps me reading, but sadly, as I want to keep reading quickly to find out what is happening and how it all works out.
Oh wow, I think, just think that i may well have solved, not one case but both. If this was a film and not a book then you would have to listen to the script carefully as almost always as the/some clues may be there along the way. Well that’s all sorted and that also explains Beatrice so sadly, and happily at the same time Goodbye Beatrice.
An amazing and a very clever book. I bought this book because the story was set in Wales where I have been and I like reading about places I have visited. However, this has turned out a much better read than I first thought. Not only is this a ghost story it is also a murder mystery so it is all three an more of my loves and that doesn’t include the idea of the lovely mansion and gardens where the story takes place and also the romance within. This book covers/fits into so many gendres than just the normal one or two. Personally I absolutely loved this book, one of the best books I have ever read. The only thing with being such a great book is that I wanted to read it quickly but in the conflict of not wanting the book to end. But we all know that sadly, ‘You cannot have your cake and eat it’.
Thank you for reading
Sandra
