The suspense and tragedy is already growing in this film. The start of this film is an extremely strong one. One thing that I feel I have to question is ‘Why is the door open?’ Yes, I know that there is nothing wrong with the door being open but it does look random. Also I feel that for the progression and nature of this film the baby conversation has to start. I feel this is a very emotional, controversial and a difficult subject type of film.
A lot is going on in this film. One, I agree that with ‘Shopping’ as a mum shouldn’t lose sight of herself and two, this film shows that you cannot take your eyes off a baby/child for a second. However, darker forces are at work so this part is, I feel, unfairly, heightened.
This film shows all the stereotypical innocent traits or ‘Inviting your boss found for dinner’. Under normal circumstances this would be perfectly fine and this also reminded me of the parts in the BBC Sitcom ‘The Good Life’ with Richard Briers where Margo Leadbetter (Penelope Keith) invites Jerry’s (Paul Eddington) boss Sir Andrew (Reginald Marsh) for dinner. However, this film’s invite has a sinister undertone. I am not sure exactly what is going on but it is definitely not good.
If what is happening in this film is going on then should the police be called? Or I hope the evidence is kept for future reference. It could be just me but because of the nature of this film but Glen (Todd Cahoon) seems to be clued up. I hate that an innocent person and not just the baby, suffered.
As I watch this film I realise that sadly, Brooke (Victoria Barabas) was in the right place at the wrong time, and now they are innocently caught up in a horrible situation.
The script is done right and well as it really ought to be as it is covering the issue of one, a father having a conversation about parenting and two, a mother feeling inadequate.
It is good that there is a friend in the background to notice Olivia’s (Katie Leclerc) strange behaviour. I hope Olivia gets help, but sadly, I feel not before the ‘London’ issue is resolved. I feel I know what is going to happen. However, I feel there is a lot more to this film than is played out so far. Well that was quick. If right.
I still believe there is an underlying issue, could this ‘A mother always knows?’ like in a soap's controversial storyline, when Kat (Jessie Wallace) knew something was wrong. Well maybe not so far. Oh I see what or who now. This is very good. Either way I feel sorry for Olivia. I like the ‘Tracker’ idea. It is very clever of Harry (Jeff Schine).
Oh, it is all coming together and it could go deeper with the money. Could a transaction have taken place? A mother would know. What a twist! I half see that coming. And I love seeing what is happening 2 years later. A lovely ending.
Thank you for reading
