Wildcard Wednesday My Husband's Secret Wife

The brightly coloured start to this film suddenly turns sinister. I am glad it turned out ok in the end. Although I did think two months is really quick just after meeting someone. I can see why her sister would be unsure, as it was mentioned about her knowing everybody in her situation. There must be a secret as the title of this film gives it away on the basis of it.

The part about the ‘Horseshoe’ is interesting. I always thought that a horseshoe had to be the right way up to hold in all the luck and if it was upside down all the luck runs out of it. Now in this film an upside down horseshoe means ‘All the luck rains down on anyone who walks under it’. I haven’t heard of this before, but still plan on having my horseshoe’s points pointing up. It is interesting that a small part in the script got me thinking like this.

I love the gesture with the buttonhole it is, although a small thing, so brilliant. Sometimes it is just the little things that can make a difference/mean something/alot.

If I wanted to be cynical, I would say that this set up in the story is ‘Too perfect’. But I think I can see why, so the revelation, as to the title, I would say, comes as one almighty huge shock.

This, it seems, is going to be a slow but intense film after the fast paced start. Things are now going to unravel slowly, well actually faster than I thought. Please don’t throw the address away. I hope she doesn’t and goes around there. Well someone did and now what? Oh I get it, a possessive wife wanting a child.

I want to trust Alex (Josh Kelly) but there is an underlying story to this film. Oh I see what could be happening with talk of adoption and a near miss. If this is what they are trying to do then it is clever and a similar storyline to one in the BBC Soap EastEnders including the characters Dawn (Kara Tointon) and Dr May Wright (Amanda Drew). This film seems to have more depth than I first thought, if I am right that is.

I hate that the planned occasion didn’t go as planned. It is so awful as it meant so much. This is a mind messing film. I also hate that someone got hurt or worse. This is a simple yet complex film.

The terrorising is simple, clever and effective and now this film is becoming sadly, tragic in more ways than one. I hope there isn’t another victim.

Well what an almost twist and I almost knew it. In the end a beautiful ending.
