What a sad beginning to this film in more ways than one, on top of that is just what Woody (Voiced by Tom Hanks) needs a counting clock (Voiced by Alan Oppenheiner). What a clever script, not only wanting to name dust but one relevant name they came up with also.
Now we meet Forky (Voiced by Tony Hale) this part is a bit repetitive but Forky does need a lot of looking after. Now Forky really needs a lesson in being a toy. Whether he likes it or not. Well, Woody may not be in charge anymore but he can still tell a great story and it is heartwarming to see Woody look after Forky in the way that he does.
Oh those toys look and it turns out they are evil. Woody has got himself into an ‘Antique’ store situation. This is not nice to see, however, it is nice to see Buzz (Voiced by Tim Allen) try to be like Woody and attempt to listen to his ‘Inner voice’.
Now what a lovely reunion. Well Bo Peep (Voiced by Annie Potts) has changed. Years of not being played with can do that it seems. Again it is nice to hear Woody has a story to tell. I have mixed feelings about the story Forky tells Gabby Gabby (Voiced by Christina Hendricks)
So now it is good to see that Buzz has found others. One, sadly, I didn’t think, as I realised, Buzz isn;t so worldly wise as first thought, he would make it on his own and two, the toys could be a welcome addition to Bonnie’s (Voiced by Madeleine McGraw) play box/room.
I am not sure the delay tactics, well the first two the toys come up with will work, well they would but not, although cleverly put, be practical. The third one however, works very well. It shows that the simple things/ways are mostly the best. No they are not ‘Brilliant ideas’. They just need the ‘Keys’. Oh, they got the key, the way they got it is so amusingly easy and funny to see.
The action is full on. It is sad what happens after. It is good to see Woody is a loyal toy. Gabby Gabby only wants what Woody has including his ‘Voice box’. It seems all this for a voice box. Wow, just in time. It seems now everyone is going back. Well that was unexpected.
Now when people get lost whilst out driving they have been known/tend to wrongly blame the ‘Sat Nav’, but in this case, although it is not the sat nav, for the purpose of this film, it is, shall we say, the made up sat nav IS to blame. This is fun to watch.
Now when the toys originally came up with the plan to get dad arrested, it is now funny to see him with the police, especially knowing what we know.
What an incredible ending.
Thank you for reading
