Wildcard Wednesday A Kill in My Family

When I heard that this film was set in a stately home, as I like stately houses I was intrigued enough to watch it.

At the very start it is confusing as to why Diana (Erin Agostino) ran out of the door and to where she did. It is not clear what is happening on Crawford Island. You could say it is a strange start to this film.

‘Quite the mystery’ is exactly right and now the shop has become a lot less friendly. Now off to the island and so the family connection begins.

I find myself watching the background for shadows in this film but what actually happens is a little less predictable. The dream, the windy night, the banging of the window is all a cliche, but what is strange/unbelievable is when Carly (Anna Hopkins) stood on the broken glass with bare feet with no injury/cuts.

I like the description of ‘Resourceful’ fans, are fans and just want to absorb everything about their idols.

This is a great murder mystery that is also a ghost story. I like a good ghost/murder mystery and I feel this will not disappoint.

It is intriguing how attitudes change when Carly Travis’s identity is revealed. This is big/good and now it is getting bigger and better.

It looks very much like a residual haunting which means the energy is played over and over like a tape recorder and doesn’t/cannot interact or know it or you are there, like an intelligent haunting. I do think that maybe the mystery will be solved through the dreams but I may be wrong. And now the portrait is upside down.

It is now nice to see that Carly has a visitor also it turns out an ally as well. Call me a ‘cynic’ but has Lauren (Alex Paxton-Beesley) an ulterior motive. Lauren? Now this is getting crazy strange and also a total unexpected shock. No boat.

‘Weird’ that is an understatement. This is actually an amazing tangle of weirdness, on and off the island.

Well hello Grandfather ‘Donald’ and now Lauren again. What a revelation! So that is how Lauren knew about Kevin’s (Christopher Jacot) life change. It just goes to show that you should be careful who and what you write about.

Mystery solved. Sometimes all you need is that one piece of information linked to a photograph as well as crime writing in the blood, and it all comes together. And now after, let the vacation begin.

Thank you for reading
