Wildcard Wednesday: Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who!

This film is all about scale/the scale of things. Just because something is small, tiny even, it doesn’t mean it is insignificant, it is not important or it cannot make an impact.

I am not sure I like Kangaroo (Voiced by Carol Burnett). I don’t agree to what she said about things not existing.

Well now Horton (Voiced by Jim Carrey) is now in charge of ‘The speck, Whoville’ in a very dangerous environment, ok then, I do, although the script is well done, quick in some places and very good, think that Jim Carrey isn’t or wouldn’t be my first choice to voice Horton.

Now we come to my favourite and in, my opinion, the funniest part of the film. The Bridge and The Mayor (Voiced by Steve Carell) is at the Dentist (Voiced by Joe Pasquale) having dental work done in the ‘Arm’. this is hilarious to see and hear.

Snow then no snow, I did expect more flooding at this point. However, water is the least of Whoville’s problems. I want to shout at the film to get behind The Mayor. It is horrible when no one believes you whether you are big or small. Oh no, and climb Horton climb.

‘Looking for a needle in a haystack’ springs to mind. It is lovely to see perseverance and if there was a time to stop celebrating good news this is it. This is amusing to see.

As evil is bad it is good to see that the bad characters in this film are portrayed as ‘Idiots’. I wouldn’t want to be evil and classed as idiotic.

The suspense is building. It is a race against time to ‘Make a noise. The scenes at the old observatory are lovely to watch. I just want the noise to be heard/willing the noise to be heard.

Now it is nice to see the good win out in the end. I love and yes, agree with the lesson at the end of this film.

Thank you reading

Sandra
