Fun Friday: Nightmare in Paradise
This film starts off fast paced. After going to sleep on their first night on their 10th anniversary trip away, yes, what is going on?
Liz (AnnaLynne McCord) is back home, so the ‘Paradise’ aspect was short lived so far. Maybe this film could be called by another title.
From going at a fast pace this has slowed down a lot and it seems to be far longer than the story actually needs it to be so far. I still have no idea what is going on or why. Yes, a ‘Set up’ but why? This is intriguing.
It is sad to hear about being in prison being beneficial to Liz’s cellmate. At first I judged that Liz could be in for a rough time but this just goes to show that sometimes you and I just get it plain wrong.
This film, sadly, high-lights ‘Do we really know someone?’ The flashbacks of the trip are a good idea but it does seem all drawn out. Yes, either Andrew (Philip Boyd) is still alive or the owner of the ‘Dental records’ are not who Andrew said he is. This film does make me think that there are two sides to every story. It is not looking good.
Wow, go for it and I cannot believe it could be that easy. What about handcuffs in pain or not. Ok I am glad the plan worked but it is borderline unbelievable.
So back in ‘Paradise’ where does she start? I wouldn’t have a clue so, to me, it shows some well worked out script writing. It all hinges on the Dental records and enemies. I think also there may be one or two twists still to come and yes, we would all like to see the ‘Right’ people in prison.
The pace of this film has quickened and it is good in the script that a ‘Stay at home mother of two’ is clearly out of her comfort zone. It shows what people can be capable of in extreme circumstances.
Yes, twist one, I really don’t like how ‘Money talks’ it somehow mostly all comes down to money. However, against the love of her life I can see how money is worthless in comparison.
Well I didn’t see that twist coming, now why? it doesn’t make sense why risk another 10 years or more? Luckily after a tense moment it is all good.
It is heart-warming that Liz is ‘Paying it forward’ no, she doesn’t have to but that is the whole point of doing a good thing. Liz’s idea is a lovely, great and insightful idea, putting her new unexpected insider, in more ways than one, knowledge to good use.
Thank you for reading
