Mum's Monday Killer Family A Nanny Nightmare

Warning spoilers At the start you, or I wondered what happened. I am glad that it is explained in the script. I love that the sister can and is helping. I half liked the conversation though, it seemed a little positively negative, like ‘I will help you but with conditions’ and six months is not long really. I like him, her not so much. The part about what she was specifically asking for in a nanny, reminds me of the film Mary Poppins with Julie Andrews. Now what? Also like Mary Poppins the child/children decide and again now what? She has one serious issue, whatever that is? It is nice to see her being helpful with a nicer condition this time. Oh, good question: ‘what is the worst that could happen?’ I feel this is a little cheesy and predictable in some ways. The tour, it all seems, yes, strange but plausible. The script is brilliantly written in most/some parts. She is certainly an interesting mystery and whoa that/she made me jump through the TV screen. Now this is getting, I ...

Fun Friday Sabrina the Teenage Witch

WARNING SPOILERS Sabrina the Teenage Witch This program shows, that if we had magical powers, you cannot ‘Just do magic’. There are consequences, which is a realistic view on being a witch, living in the real world, they call ‘The mortal realm’. Also where we have to answer to the law/police, witches have to answer to ‘The witches’ council’. One example of how the council works is Salaam Saberhagen (Voiced by Nick Bakay) Sabrina Spellman’s (Melissa Joan Hart) uncle , he is now a talking cat, having been turned into one as a punishment, by the council, after trying to take over the mortal world, which he does again and again throughout some episodes any chance he gets. The first episode is rea lly funny, when Sabrina finds out she is a witch on her 16 th birthday and is trying to learn from her aunt Zelda (Beth Broderick) and her aunt Hilda (Caroline Rhea) on how to turn an orange into an apple. Sabrina turns it into a pineapple. We see throughout the seasons more...

Wildcard Wednesday Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em (series 1 to 3)

WARNING SPOILERS Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘ Em Series 1 to 3 The first episode, The Job Interview , i t is a shame but inevitable that Frank Spencer (Michael Crawford) only has to smile to cause chaos. He can also cause chaos just by talking at an interview and there is not much left of the lift or the product or the staff come to that. Swapping between scenes of Frank and Betty (Michele Dotrice ) discussing the interview and the staff and interviewer is perfectly done showing two very different prospective. The episode, George’s House, at the start you just know gadgets and Frank are not going to mix. This episode could be seen as a little predictable. It is good, if that is the right word, to see Frank see/find his slippers. The ending of this episode is funny, but I knew and could see it coming, but it still contained some well executed surprises though. In the episode, Love Thy Neighbour, it was funny to hear Frank think Dracula was the Prime Minister. Now we se...

Mum's Monday We are not alone (On Dave)

This is brilliant. Like Doctor Who by Sydney Newman, Donald Wilson and C. E. Webber, BBC and Fox crossed with politics. Oh dear, yes, very clever but it seems that, I can see that, they were invited. I love how they try to integrate and embrace our culture/way of life. Um, what is there to think about? Also they have certainly done the research. This is so realistic. I love it. There is so much going on ‘Nuclear’ and ‘Colour paper’ it is all so brilliantly topical. So many amusing questions. This certainly shows the good and sadly, the bad side of the internet. It started so well, then quickly, oh dear. It is so awkwardly amusing to watch. This is so cleverly written. I love it. What a party and yes, ‘Oh s..t’ I did think he would be suffering a bit more the morning after, hangover wise. Oh that is good, not good, bad eye sight on security. It is so amusing to hear. I hope he does get to see a ‘Crab’. There is a lot more wisdom in this and I really do love it. Thank you for readi...

Fun Friday The Brink by James S Murray & Darren Wearmouth

The Brink by James S Murray and Darren Wearmouth This story starts off in London, sadly, after watching an amazing television program, the date takes a very bad/dark turn. Now we jump to reading about Berlin in Germany in 1945. It is really clever how they interweaved real life with the evil, strange, murderous creatures. Now in the United Kingdom, it seems the foundation could be in trouble. This book is well written with everything described in great detail, however, it still keeps me intrigued enough to read on. A clever book. In chapter five it is a surprise at the lengths Van Ness has gone to, to negotiate with the president of the United States of America. I would have thought they would be both on the same page to save humanity. It is however, clever to include Van Ness attempting to profit from gloom, it does give the story more depth, I just wonder what will happen next. It is intriguing to read that I do want to read further, a sign of a good story/book. Also su...

Wildcard Wednesday The Big Bang Theory Sheldon and Amy Wedding

WARNING SPOILERS The Big Bang Theory ‘Sheldon and Amy’ Wedding In a previous episode, after Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) was kissed by another woman. His reaction was to jump on an aeroplane flight and go a find his girlfriend, Amy Farrah Fowler ( Mayim Bialik ), who was on a work trip and propose marriage, and the lead up to the wedding begins. Their friends were not keen on finding out tests were carried out on them to find who was to be in the wedding line up, as in the Best man and Matron of Honour. Luckily all this was sorted out and the big day arrives . The Bride and Grooms families arrives each with their own issues, which are in keeping with the show and also with some reality to a real life wedding, when you bring families together at a family event. We now see Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg ) with a dog, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), his wife is not happy, but the owner, none other than Mark Hamill (Himself) AKA Luke Skywalker in Star Wars is. And now W...
